Clinton Torp Receives LADCO’s “President’s Award”

The President’s Award is given to the individual responsible for “a current, major contribution or accomplishment in the La Crosse area.

This year’s recipient, Airport Director at the La Crosse Regional Airport, Clinton Torp, has demonstrated again and again innovative and professional leadership for one of the prime assets of the La Crosse Area – the La Crosse Regional Airport. Clinton has over twelve years of experience in Airport Management, ten of which have been with the La Crosse Regional Airport.  He also holds a commercial pilots license with both multi and single engine instrument ratings and has over 275 hours of flight experience.

A specific outcome we praise with this award is what we call the “trifecta of development”, with the re-positioning of the airport in the market, additions to the physical facilities, and creation of excitement and encouragement of involvement by the business community for which we are all thankful. In the last four years alone, over $25 million in improvements have occurred at the Airport with more major steps to come.

Clinton Torp has positively influenced the La Crosse area in many ways, as the State representative for the Great Lakes Chapter and certified member of the American Association of Airport Executives; he is currently on the board of the Wisconsin Airport Management association and is Treasurer of the 7 Rivers Alliance.
