Two Local High School Baseball Teams Bring Home Baseball Championships!

Congratulations to two local high school baseball teams for winning their respective state baseball championships!

A job well done to the whole Aquinas Boy’s Baseball Team and coaches for winning the Division 3 state championship! The victory made Aquinas a baseball champion for the first time since 2007 and completed a sparkling run through the end of the season for a 21-10 team that won its final three games by shutouts.

Way to go West Salem! The Boy’s Baseball Team held on to beat Waupun 8-6 and capture the WIAA Division 2 championship at Fox Cities Stadium on Friday, June 16, 2017.

The Panthers (24-4) scored four runs in the second inning and four more in the third to take command of the Warriors and survived a late rally to win.

Waupun (26-6) scored three runs in the fifth and another in the seventh. Waupun had two runners on base when West Salem pitcher Hunter Wakefield recorded the final out on a pop fly to right field.
